Add some butter or oil to a pot. On medium high heat, add the garlic and mushrooms and cook until the mushrooms have a slight char on them.

Add the water or dashi broth to the mushrooms and bring to a boil. Add the miso paste, soft tofu, seaweed, soy sauce and flavour to taste. Simmer for another 5 mins.

4 cups water or dashi broth

1 tbsp butter

1 tbsp soy sauce

3 tbsp miso paste

green onions are garnish (optional)

1 glove garlic

soft tofu

1 tbsp wakame seaweed
