If you’re craving something sweet but still want to feel good about it, mung bean dessert is the perfect treat. This creamy, lightly sweet dish has a naturally nutty flavor and a smooth, comforting texture that feels like a hug in a bowl. Beyond its delicious taste, mung beans are packed with plant-based protein, fiber, and antioxidants, which can support digestion, heart health, and steady energy levels. They’re also traditionally known for their cooling properties, making this dessert a refreshing way to satisfy your sweet tooth while nourishing your body at the same time.
1
Searing the Beef
Sear beef fillets on high heat for 2 minutes per side to form a golden crust. Let it cool before proceeding to keep the beef tender.
2
Mushroom Duxelles
Cook the mushrooms until all moisture evaporates to prevent soggy pastry. Aim for a thick, paste-like consistency.
3
Puff Pastry Handling
Keep the puff pastry cold to avoid softness. Chill if it becomes too soft, and score the top lightly without cutting through.
Notes

1
Rinse and soak all the dried ingridients for 10 minutes.

2
Bring a pot of water to a boil and add all ingredients. Simmer for 30 minutes for up to an hour depending on the consistency you like.

3
Adjust sweetness to your liking and enjoy this dish hot or cold.
